I need some old fillings replaced on my front teeth, but would like to lighten or bleach my teeth. Which should I do first?
Always do the bleaching procedure first - prior to doing any fillings, veneers, bonding or crowns on teeth.
At what age should a child first see a dentist?
We recommend that your child come in and observe your cleaning sometime after age 2. Then, around 3 years old, they will be ready for their first cleaning. They will know what to expect from the hygienist or dentist and will feel more comfortable w/ the procedure.
Do you accept new patients?
Absolutely, we especially appreciate referrals from our current patients and consider it the greatest compliment we can receive from our patients.
Why does my insurance compay provide only 2 annual cleanings when my dentist recommends 3?
Some patients need more frequent cleanings for many reasons such as: the amount of bone loss present, the amount of tartar build up, patient dexterity at providing home care and systemic conditions. Dr. Wnek decides if we can better preserve the patient's teeth by more frequent cleanings. Most insurance companies have a set standard in their policies that only provide for 2 cleanings per year. It is always in the best interest of the patient to not let the insurance company dictate their dental treatment.
